Day of Caring


United Way of Greater Baytown and Chambers County (United Way) is planning for another wonderful Day of Caring this year. The October 16, 2020 service day will be virtual volunteering due to COVID-19. CHECK BACK often for updates. 

Projects Due August 15, 2020

This year only projects that can be completed virtually will be considered. Click here to submit a project  or two or three that can be completed virtually. The project must be within the United Way jurisdiction - zip codes covered: Harris County-East 77520, 77521, 77562. Chambers County: 77580, 77523, 77521, 77661, 77597, 77560, 77514. Projects can be submitted from public schools and nonprofit agencies.

About DOC

A United Way tradition, Days of Caring mobilizes volunteers to celebrate the spirit of giving through service by providing meaningful volunteer opportunities to improve our community. In 2019, nearly 1000 individuals participated in projects ranging from painting, cleaning, and organizing, to construction repairs, installing fixtures, wheel chair ramps,and landscaping - completing 47 projects!
