United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County invites you to be part of something powerful—United We Read, a community-wide children’s book drive held in celebration of United Way’s national Day of Action.
Our goal is to collect 5,000 new and gently used children's books to fill our local Little Free Libraries and share with community partners who serve young readers. Every book you donate helps open a world of possibility for a child in our community.
How to Participate:
📚 Donate Books
Drop off new or very gently used children’s books (ages 0–12) at any of our participating locations below.
🏢 Host a Book Drive
Organize a mini book drive at your workplace, church, club, or neighborhood group.
📣 Spread the Word
Share the campaign on social media or in your newsletters. We’ll provide a promotional kit to make it easy!
Book Donation Guidelines:
We are collecting:
New and very gently used children’s books for ages 0–12
Picture books, board books, early readers, and short chapter books
Please: No torn pages, stains, excessive wear, or writing.
