What Can You Do To Help?   Our neighbors that are impacted by this storm will need help to recover. United Way continues to respond to Hurricane Harvey and is now preparing to respond to Imelda. Once the rain subsides, we know we will need to recruit volunteers, and get supplies to help people to muck and gut their homes. Financial gifts are also needed to help repair homes. Most people believe they know United Way. What they don’t realize is that United Way has evolved over the years to be more responsive to the needs of the community. I’ve volunteered with our United Way for about 13 years. I have found it to be a community organization that makes a positive difference because it focuses on improving everyone’s quality of life. This is accomplished by focusing on three areas: education, financial stability and health.  United Way cares about our community....

United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County is seeking volunteers for a special project on Friday, September 19, 2014. Volunteers will be assisting with moving some furniture from a large donation given by ExxonMobil.
