Helping Students Start with Confidence
Every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling confident, comfortable, and ready to learn. At United Way, we believe meeting basic needs is the first step toward unlocking a child’s full potential.
That’s why our Clothing for Kids Closets provide new school clothes, socks, and underwear to students in need across Baytown and Chambers County — from Pre-K through high school.
Whether a family is facing a sudden hardship or ongoing financial stress, this program ensures children can focus on learning instead of what they’re wearing.
What’s Inside a Closet?
Each closet is stocked with age-appropriate, seasonally relevant items, including:
🧦 New socks and underwear
👕 Shirts and pants
🧥 Jackets and cold-weather basics (seasonal)
🎒 Hygiene items (as available)
We work closely with schools and community partners to identify students and respond quickly, with dignity and care.
