WE ARE VOLUNTEER LED

United Way of Greater Baytown Area and Chambers County is guided by dedicated volunteer leaders who help strengthen our work and ensure accountability to the community we serve. These groups support the organization’s mission by strengthening financial oversight, guiding community investments, and helping engage the broader community in our work.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Our Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and governance for United Way of Greater Baytown Area and Chambers County. Board members represent a diverse cross-section of local industries and community leaders who guide the organization’s vision, ensure responsible stewardship of resources, and help strengthen partnerships throughout our region.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee provides leadership and governance oversight between full board meetings and works closely with the CEO on key strategic matters.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee oversees the financial health of the organization and supports responsible stewardship of United Way resources.

Community Impact & Investment Committee

This committee guides United Way’s community investment strategy and supports grantmaking decisions that strengthen nonprofit partners across our region.

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee supports financial accountability by overseeing the organization’s independent audit process and internal financial controls.

Events Committee

The Events Committee supports fundraising and community engagement efforts by helping plan and execute United Way events throughout the year.

Days of Caring Steering Committee

This committee coordinates United Way’s annual Days of Caring volunteer initiative and helps mobilize community volunteers to support nonprofit partners.

Disaster Recovery BACC-DR Committee

The Disaster Recovery BACC-DR Committee supports long-term disaster recovery efforts across the greater Baytown area and Chambers County. Members help identify unmet needs, coordinate community partnerships, and strengthen access to relief and recovery resources for individuals and families impacted by disasters.

Little Free Library Committee

This Committee supports United Way’s literacy initiatives by helping expand access to books throughout our community. Members assist with planning, placement, and maintenance of local Little Free Libraries that promote childhood literacy.

Resource Development Committee

The Resource Development Committee supports United Way’s fundraising strategy and community partnerships. Members help strengthen workplace campaigns, cultivate donor relationships, and identify opportunities that expand philanthropic support for the organization’s mission.
