2015-2016 UW Campaign Chair

Welcome to the United Way team! Thank you for running your organization's United Way campaign. Each year more than 7,000 people help create lasting change in our community by participating as donors to the annual United Way Campaign. The 2014 annual campaign raised $3,290,000, a record amount for our United Way and surpassing the goal by 3% and we couldn't have done it without each of you. Running a United Way campaign in your workplace is a great way to inject creativity, excitement, and positive energy into your workforce. Volunteering as an Employee Campaign Coordinator is not only challenging and satisfying, it may be a career, or even a life-changing, experience. As a Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC), you are an integral part of a special group of volunteers dedicated to making a measurable difference in the lives of people in our community. Because of the Community Campaign, United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County can fund 37 local programs with 20 partner agencies, supporting services and programs that provide a basic safety net of services to our community. The Workplace Campaign is about more than money. It inspires and informs, and demonstrates that lives are positively impacted when people work together to mobilize resources that build a strong, caring community. This ECC Toolkit will help keep you informed and organized. Before starting your organization’s Campaign, please read the information. It is a step-by-step fundraising tool that provides key resources, messages, best practices, and tips to implement a successful Workplace Campaign. This guide focuses on the role and responsibilities of a Workplace Campaign Coordinator. It helps you get your Campaign started, run a successful Campaign, and wrap up your Campaign. We are here to provide you with direction, support and to work together to make the best possible impact we can on the most critical needs in our community. The financial and volunteer support of almost 100 companies and organizations makes our community stronger. Thank you for being a part of the United Way Workplace Campaign! On behalf of the United Way we are looking forward to working with you to achieve a successful community campaign.

Sincerely, Guido Persiani & Missy Malechek
